Preparing The Next Generation of Black Entrepreneurs


The B.E.S.T. (Black Entrepreneurship and Skilled Trades) Foundation Program in partnership with Ontario Tech University is series of customized modules and training specifically designed to guide aspiring entrepreneurs through the steps of creating a business in the Skilled Trades industry. The B.E.S.T. program aims to prepare the next generation of Black identified entrepreneurs and young business leaders to launch successful businesses in the Skilled Trades. The program streams include automotive, culinary, hospitality, construction, and service.


If you are between ages 16-39 and interested in Skilled Trades or already working as skilled trader and want to start your own business this program is just right for you. The first 500 students to complete the modules and pitch receive a micro credential and Digital Certificate of Completion.

A micro-credential is a digitally-recorded recognition of a small, specific skill. It represents evidence of your skills for employers, educators, and peers. Micro-credentials are created with industry, so you can be assured that the skills you are learning are in demand and current.
