The purpose of research programs is to further society with knowledge gained from researching certain topics that will avail new concepts and ideas that will in essence be for the betterment of said society. Why it’s important for the Black communities to have and be involved with research programs or just to research in general is for the sake of the Black communities to fill in the gaps in which they lack to be able to have success for years to come and to establish a generational wealth for the future of the community
Facts about Research
Although Black Adults have steadily been achieving acedemic success, Black Canadians are still less likely to pursue post secondary schooling
Not only are they less likely to be faculty members at a university or college, but they are less likely to find success in a research grant application as well
Research Programs
Black Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub, or BEKH for short, is the national hub for research, data and insights on Black entrepreneurship in Canada. A key part of the Government of Canada’s Black Entrepreneurship Program. BEKH brings together an extensive network of community groups, entrepreneurs, universities and research scholars to co-lead research across sectors
